Sanbanks ferry closed. Check
Blandford road se bound closed. Check
Upton bypass down to one lane. Check.

I couldnt believe my fking eyes this morning, it was like a fking disaster movie. Or an REM video. How the complete fking fk did we end up with THREE major traffic arteries closed at the same fking time?

Any other poor fkers get caught in this?

what a bunch of t$sspots, its not like the highways agency woukdnt have known when the bramblebush bay was out for maintenance. I cycle so the only benefit for me is as the traffic is at a standstill on bakers arms round about when i get to it - i have more chances of crossing it alive!

Mate of mine comes in from swanage every day, he's boned.

It's dry for the ret of the week so i'll use the blade but bugger taking the car again, it was the worst ive seen it this morning. It's the lack of accountability that really boils my piss about it.

A lttle bit the other way the Shah crossroads traffic lights being "improved". Where Longfleet Road goes into Ringwood Road and the A35 crosses them.

It wouldn't be too hard to find out who's in charge of Highways at Poole Borough Council.

Or write to the Echo. They've got fk all else to write about.

I get caught in that a number of times a day due to work, bloody nightmare!

Luckily I have very little need to use the bypass at the moment!

Ah, so the Echo hysteria was for once valid! They have listened though...

Latest news

From Thursday 8 November, cones between the A350 junction with the A35 Upton Bypass and the Upton Park junction will be removed for the morning and evening rush hour traffic.

The lane closure will come back into effect after the morning rush hour has finished, with the cones being walked back out from 9am. The lane closure will be removed by 5pm each day.

From Saturday 17 November, there will be minimal traffic management left in place while the bridge strengthening work continues, as the additional road maintenance will have been finished.

I'm not often over that way though, come into town from the other direction!

By all accounts it's a complete fk up. I normally work in Holton Heath and come from Oakdale, but at the moment I'm at Tower Park so have avoided it. However at 5pm tommorow I'm headed to Holton Heath as the 528 is playing up and I have my mechanic there... any ideas of what route I should take?

I commute daily from 6penny Handley to Poole & have been using the A350 & Upton bypass route for months....now due to the roadworks i'm back to the Wimborne/Gravel Hill route.....chuffing nightmare...so much school traffic it drives me mental...!!

I've been using Merley Lane & Arrowsmith Road - which i must say is excellent fun - even if it is a 30 limit...aparently....:-)

15 minutes to Wimborne - 30 minutes Wimborne to Vantage Way......:-(

I think the Upton Bypass is closed/restricted for 5-6 weeks.....
