Monaco Grand Prix. 2013

Intend going with a few friends to the Monaco GP this year and quite fancied one of the hospitality packages but have found one based in Dundee called Grand Prix Adventures, has anyone had dealings with them?
I would prefer to support local businesses if possible.

Don't intend going this year but intend to do the Historic GP in 2014 and if the budget permits stay on for the GP. The historic GP is only held bi-annually hence not this year.

I went last year with some mates not a hospitality package though. Tickets were bought from grandstand motorsport who were great.

Not local but try contacting FugareF1 from here if you need info about hospitality at monaco. His info is pretty good although he's not local to yourself.

Thanks for the mention rockape, I am actually local to Scotbox...we are based in Scotland and I live in Dundee.

There are lots of options in Monaco Scotbox so it depends what the needs of your group are and how much you want to spend on it.

There is everything from sector rocher and grandstand seating to hotel balconies and cafes/restaurants offering viewing & hospitality to trackside yachts, private balconies on the start/finish straight with expansive views of the track and hospitality in the paddock with the teams. Some are excellent to good, some are average to mediocre, some are bad to awful.

This is more for those not looking for hospitality...if anyone is looking at just grandstand seating then don't buy those tickets from an agent or travel company/hospitality provider unless they are adding value for you (transfers, convenience, extras, etc.). The cheapest place to buy grandstand tickets is direct from the Automobile Club de Monaco (www dot formula1monaco dot com or www dot acm dot mc).

There are varying degrees of hospitality, you could go for the full monty on a trackside yacht (or full hospitality balcony) with open bar, Champagne flowing, excellent food all day and all the extras (FanVision TVs, F1 extras, etc. etc.)
or
a private balcony with open bar but no catering where you can bring your own food (views just as good but cost is kept down due to the exclusion of catering which is expensive to put in place)
or
restaurant with lunch and some drinks included

...and so on.

Balconies 4th floor and above have a view over the trees to the harbour, the higher you go the more extensive the view but the further from the cars you get obviously and be careful of the building the balcony is in, some have restricted viewing due to their position relative to other buildings.

I am just organizing a trip for my husbands 40th birthday. I am thinking of going to town on this one as I have just found tickets on gumtree for £1200 for both days hospitality in what looks like a lovely apartment with brilliant views of the race track.

What they deal with these outfits are they roast the erse oot yi types such as Tommy Cook away football trips.

Used to be a case of go online, book one flight and hotel, secure ticket and voila...good few hundred more beer tokens and a far better hotel
