just driving through Dundee now Just back from an absolutely brilliant day - arrived earlyish, left at the end and no traffic hold-ups whatsoever (ie 5 minute queue to get in and none to get out). Organisation excellent, great spectacle and all cars now covered in a thick layer of dust. I was parked in the supercar park next to a very nice superamerica - the guy arrived at the same time as me and wandered off, leaving it open with the roof down, which should have been fine. I came back to the cars later to find a russian couple climbing all over and inside the SA, taking pics of each other. They seemed to have some trouble with sarcasm, so I switched Russian, of which I have a very poor command save for choice epithets about Stalin. Some people…

Well I had a fantastic day. Minor delay on the flight on Friday due to the Dreamliner issue at Heathrow but got down around 90mins later than planned. Stayed at a hotel about 1hr from the circuit on Fri night and then headed in (in my colleagues new to him 997 C4S). Roads weren't exactly quiet but we only stopped in queued traffic for the first time around 1 mile from the car park at Goodwood so can't complain. We were arriving at around 8am.
A good 5 min walk and we were in the venue. Acquired the essential FOS bacon roll (massive thumbs up!!) and took up a position in front of the grandstands across from the paddock, equidistant from the paddock entrance and exit. Great view down the straight from there and up to the corner.
Having only been to Revival before I wasn't sure I would find it measured up to be honest. How wrong could I be!! It was a fantastic event. The wide range of cars running up the hill was astonishing! I've never seen a modern F1 car running in the flesh so that was a real treat. The noise is still ringing in my ears!
We watched the entire morning session from that vantage point and then headed across to the paddock. I literally brushed shoulders with John McGuinness who was just ambling through the paddock in his race suit. Nowhere else could that sort of thing happen such was the relaxed atmosphere of the event.
After a quick look round the supercar paddock we headed to the House to see the static displays there.
We waited there until the Vulcan had done its passes. What a sight and sound!!!
We then headed up to the offroad section and the rally stage. The fact it was so hot and dry meant that it was extremely dusty but after discussion with some of the rally drivers it seemed this was much preferred to the wet of last year which made the stage slippy like ice. It was lovely to see the various cars from historic Mini's to modern Citroens and everything in between! We stood at the start line for 25 mins and watche a number of cars launch off the line. It's incredible the grip off the line that the modern Super 2000 and WRC cars have versus the likes of the mk1 Escort and even the ex-Jimmy McRae Legacy.
After a walk back down the hill we decided to call it a day as I had a flight home at 8.15 from Heathrow. We gave ourselves 2hrs to make the journey and did it in 1hr 30. Spot on.
Overall a fantastic event, well run and very well attended. The fact Lord March continues to support the petrolhead community but putting on shows like this is testament to his enthusiasm for motorsport and he should be thanked.
I shall certainly be back. (well i'm booked for Revival again this year as it is!)

Another great year for me! Sorry for not PMing anyone but there was virtually no internet down there (England is so far behind).
Highlights:
Things I was disappointed about:
Highlights:
- The McLaren F1 - It's still THE supercar for me. I've never really read into the history of it but it seems like a miracle that it ever came to be and that it achieved such amazing figures.
- Seeing the F1 and Le Mans cars up close and going up the hill. I've never been to either race so this is always a treat.
Things I was disappointed about:
- Not seeing a LeFerrari or a Porsche 918 - were there any at the event???
- The traffic was even worse than the last time I was there
