My car was in for its MOT, at a local garage. I was working away in London so left it with them for a few days. They called a day later than scheduled, saying it was ready.

Roll forward 10 days and I'm cleaning the car and find broken glass in the passenger door pocket. Further inspection reveals the glass doesn't have BMW on it, like all the others.

I'm annoyed that they failed to mention this and now wonder what's happened.

Thing is the garage was good value for money and is always busy. I've never had any issue before.

If I go to the garage they are likely to deny all knowledge.

Go straight to garage and ask them to explain what you have posted on here.

Totally unacceptable

You deserve an explanation at least. If you ask and they deny it, then explain why you won't be coming back. If a staff member has caused the damage, as they took your car home, they might not even have told the garage?

Is it a large franchise, or a small locally owned operation?

It's a small local place that I've used for a couple of years for MOT and services. I understand accidents happen, I would just have liked to be informed. It's a shame as the prices have been great and they're walking distance from my house.

I'll call them on Monday and ask for some information.
