Most unreliable car I've ever owned, but very fast and great fun.
Warranty essential and I now know everything that goes wrong with them.
Owned for 4 years from new, would still consider another as gets 45 mpg plus on mway and 35 when hooning hard and feel I can just instruct the useless Fiat mechanics on what to fix and when

Great little cars and if your going for the Esse Esse, the extra power & nice wheels & bigger brakes are great. The stiff suspension is best removed again and the standard refitted. The Monza exhaust is brilliant but is shocking value for money BUT the pops and bangs are addictive.
For the love of God and all that is holy, do not let Arnold Shark near it.

Not sure if I was more unlucky than others or not, but unfortunately its pretty much a standard Fiat 500 with huge wheels and a powerful engine.
All the basic 500 parts therefor can't cope with the power so they break.
Despite all this it is a fun wee car and hopefully mine has been extensively rebuilt under warranty.
I've also recently upgraded some bushes which have made a massive difference!

Looking for a second opinion/ advice
I have a Fiat 500 Abarth I thought I would give some feed back as I have had one for just 1 year. I got my 500 Abarth from Glasgow Springburn not the SS, black, 17' wheels, leather and air con. My wife and I share the car our other car is a Porsche 997 Mk2.
After about 3 to 4k miles there was a funny noise coming from the back of the car I took it in to the A Clark Springburn to be told the rear brakes were sticking on they fixed the problem no charge and at the time I did say will this not affect the life of my pads and was told NO which to me sounded stupid as if they were sticking on of course it would wear them quicker.
Also Just recently I have noticed some small marks of corrosion on a couple of my alloys and they are in the process of doing a warranty claim fingers crossed
I just picked it up today from its first service 1 year or 18k mls. My car has done 10860 miles so my service was £196. They called me to say I require
Wheel Alignment £24 (fair enough with the roads the way they are pot holes its always going to happen)
2 new front tyres £251 (front wheel drive alignment off I can live with that)
rear pads £128 (But rear pads this cant be normal after 10860 miles can any one give me any feed back on any of the above thanks)
So my first service on my 1 year old car with 10860 miles is £600 my Porsche was not even that.
On the up side great car, looks great , quick, lots of fun, I love the pops and bangs you get from the exhaust, I would not change it for the world

Hi Vito, ive had the same issues as you plus many more, you will use two sets of rear pads for one set of front pads and they will need cleaned every year due to them sticking and squealing!
If you get any issues that Springburn cannot solve send me a message as everything has gone wrong with mine!
I also run a 911, good combination

The Porsche is cheaper to run than a Fiat 500 FACT!
The Porsche and 500 are defo a great mix the wife and I love it.
I asked A Clark Springburn if the car has a brake pad sensor and I was told NO is this right?
