Hi all,

Looks like I may now have a free weekend biggrin and quite fancy a trip up to Knockhill on Sunday. Is anyone else going?

Does anyone know if tickets can still be purchased at the gate on the day? Also - anyone know what time said gate opens?

Could not easily see the answers on their website.

thanks in advance

Yes, you can buy tickets on the gate on both Saturday and Sunday. I would suggest getting there early (before 8am) to avoid the long queues to get in and give you time to get parked up. Racing starts at 9am, with the first BTCC race about 11am.

Don't miss the Minis, they are on just before the Touring Cars at 11.00.
Its a 32 car Mini grid, it will be mayhem.
My lad is driving this one, hope he does well.

I'll try and get some photos of him in action, but it can be tricky if he is in the middle of a big pack!

Very wise idea. I left at 9.30am last year, but didn't get in and parked until 12.15pm! Missed most of the first race as a result. And I'm only 40 minutes away. Honestly never seen it as busy since the Super Touring days, especially now everything is parked onsite.

Well, that really was a great day. I arrived there about 07:30 hrs and drove straight in - no queing whatsoever! Met some friends and sat in the sun with a coffee waiting for the action to start.

The action was great and the weather was fine - not sure you could really ask for any more.

Last time I was at the BTCC Knockhill it was 2000. Ford Rapid Fit Mondeos St200s and the like, and, as I recall, not particulary noisy. I culd not belive the noise from the current field - ear splitting but quite superb ears !

Hope everyone else who went along enjoyed it as much.

cheers

Highlight of weekend was the Minimax guys taking a road car on Saturday night stripping it out rebuilding it and getting it onto grid for Sundays Mini race

Fantastic effort

Was a really good weekend! But made the mistake of turning up at around 9.30-10 and having to sit in a massive queue to get in... laugh
