Hi folks, I have posted this on the NI board as well but this one seems better populated so here goes.

A bunch of us from Dublin are going to do a bit of a driving tour around Scotland later in the year, starting by driving up to Larne and getting the Ferry over to Stranraer.

We were just wondering what both Ferries are like in terms of boarding for low/wide cars.

We did Wales last year coming into Holyhead from Dublin which was fine, but we came back via Fishguard/Rosslare which was a problem at the Fishguard end. Cos of the way the port is they load cars from several decks up via a steep ramp which we weren't able to navigate. We had to be loaded with the trucks but even then it was a bit dodgy and one of the group lost some pieces of diffuser.

The group will have various Lotuses, Ferrari, some Pork etc

Anyone any info who has travelled this route recently?

Pretty sure they leave you last and help get you/the car on board.
