Anyone going?
I went last year with a few friends on our bikes and which I have to say, was one of the highlights as we were allowed to ride on base and park on one of the runways
Hopefully doing the same this year... or if not heading down with the GF in the car

Yep - and same principle applies: bike if nice weather or the automatic DD if crap weather and queuing involved. We'll be on a black Multistrada 1200I went last year with a few friends on our bikes and which I have to say, was one of the highlights as we were allowed to ride on base and park on one of the runways

Been before but the traffic is a nightmare.
What time do you need to get to the area for a clearish run? Going through Cupar is murder.
If I remember it's not just the run in that is the problem but getting out too. What time do you need to get to the area for a clearish run? Going through Cupar is murder.
Again you can filter when leaving, although some cage drivers might object to this...Next best would be to take the train down IMO - but a quick check of the prices of tickets from Aberdeen to Leuchars is about £90 return

Last year was shocking - the amount of car drivers trying to block, squeeze, or even just shout abuse at bikes trying to filter by was unbelievable. Narrow mindedness at its best. Getting to ride round the perimeter past pens of Typhoon's warming up made up for it though.
I've never understood that. I don't have any interest in bikes and do resent being called a cager as though I'm a lower class motorist before I even start but it's no skin off my nose if bikes filter past and will actively make more space for them if only so there's less chance of me being clipped when they try.

No, that's just you being a normal person
I'd label 'cager' at those untamed beasts/knobs behind the wheels of their metal boxes, gnashing away when people go past minding their own business.Anyhow... really hope the Vulcan makes an appearance this year. I remember it making such and incredible noise last year

Anyway, I too always enjoy the Vulcan. It cancelled a show this weekend past with a fuel leak so fingers crossed it's fixed for this weekend coming. It's one of the most interesting flying programmes they've produced in a long, long time so I really hope they get the weather for it.

It's also Bo'ness Hillclimb Revival.......
Oooh, good call - plus there's due to be a spitfire/hurricane flypast on Sunday, so you get a wee bit of the airshow too.rosscobmw said:
