Ello all - just noticed that I've been on here since approx November 2002 and just wondered when the forum was conceived?

I know some of the other long-servers have been somewhat more prolific (lol) but I'm too shy and retiring to be posting any crazy sh*t wink

So, I make it 26th January 2004?

I must've originally posted in the Caterham section...around the time of starting the occasional post on blatchat :-p

It looks to me like although you registered on 26/11/02, it took you until 27/06/04 to post ... here. smile

Ph started in 98 (iirc) . It wasnt a website as such just a disscussion group for some tvr owners on yahoo I think and it progressed from there. The guy that owned it(petrolted) wrote the code himself picking the best bits of some bigger forums of the time to make Pistonheads. This is why it hasnt changed much. Haymarket publishing bought the site from him in 2007/2008 and developed it into what it is now.

Also the gassing station opened after the pie and piston forum was closed. The gassing station split everything up into sub forums. The gassing station was a haymarket invention.
