Hi folks. Wonder if anyone could recommend me a breaker for my integra. Car is well past its best and in no real condition to sell so am interested in trying a breaker rather than having to sell it to someone il inevitably have to bump into and look in the eye from time to time! Problem is i live in orkney and would ideally like to arrange a price for the car unseen before delivering it, otherwise im not in a position to haggle on a deal. Could anyone recommend me a specialist worth dealing with or give me any general pointers on how to proceed? Any help would be great, cheers.

By the time you have paid to "deliver" the car to a specialist on the mainland you will wipe out most of the profit.Remember you would have to pay to get yourself back home too. Phone the local scrapyard and they will even come and pick it up(usually).

Just saw on the news that the short sea crossing boat (the Pentilina) is broke so you will either have to use the stromness- scrabster ferry or the John ogroats boat for a while.

Cheers for the reply, dont know how i managed to lose the thread title! Am hoping a reasonable price would cover sticking the car on a one way cruise to aberdeen or even bung it in a container. Lost track of scrap prices but having a car famed for lightness is a real pisser when it comes to weighing in time! Anybody ken a rough idea of rates from dismantlers? If theyre low i would probably be better just stripping it and weighing in the chassis but i really dont have the time or kit for it.

By weight you'll get circa £120 to £140 which in this case isn't an option as the car is probably 'special' enough to command a premium. Maybe stick it on Gumtree though ultimately the location will be an issue. I know that the online companies won't collect from the islands. If you can get the car to the mainland, then they will though.

Have also sent an email.
