Best roads in Scotland....??

Head out to aberfoyle (via carbeth) then over the dukes pass, then pick a direction of left or right and keep going, any time you come to a junction just do the same, pick a direction and have fun!You'll get a lot of great answers on here, most know some amazing roads.
The best I've ever been on but you never really hear those on here talk about is the A712, The Queens Way that runs through The Galloway Forest Park. The part that runs from Newton Stewart to New Galloway.
Found it when the satnav took me home that way from working in Stranraer / Newton Stewart. Mind blowingly good.
If you start in Dalmellington you'll get the A713 in the run down to the A712 which is also a great road.
When you get to Newton Stewart then there's nothing to do but head back again

A712/3 as suggested are the closest esp if you take the A702 (Dalveen pass) to get down that way.
A little further North and cross the water to Dunoon takes you into the Argyl forest, the roads are narrow but well sighted and almost deserted.
If you've time to head away, way North, they just get better the further up you go especially past Ullapool.

A87 past Invergarry
On to Plockton for the night / dinner at Plockton shores
Early start over to Applecross for lunch
Circumnavigate the full peninsula past Torridon
A832 towards Achnasheen - stop at the first proper viewing area on the left and look back the road you've just driven
Continue to Dingwall
Another night away - spoilt for choice if you stay in Inverness
Up early to avoid the coach parties and straight down the West side of Loch Ness
Home via Callendar & Duke's Pass
I've tried to give you a shortened version of a 3-nighter that we did in May - I've missed out the loop we added after Applecross which took in Achiltibuie (stayed at Summer Isles hotel - highly recommended) and Durness / Tongue.
We did Callendar on the first day so, rather than taking the scenic route home, we blitzed down the A9 into Fife early on day4 to miss the crazies and appreciate the road. (And to collect the cherubs from their amazingly helpful grandparents before lunch)
Makes you realise that Scotland has some truly breathtaking scenery and epic roads on which to enjoy it....

Well, the Pistonhead run today left from outside your house and took in some great roads!!

Then take the A75 to Dumfries, turn right onto the A76 to just after Thornhill and head up the Dalveen pass. Done that a few times down the Queens Way and back home on the Dalveen pass. Brilliant run. The road from Penicuik to Moffat is also a cracker.
