Hi all,

Anyone know anywhere good for me to replace the turbo on my mk5 golf gti? I've got the turbo here waiting to go on but, not confident enough to DIY.

Have tried star performance and they didn't seem interested and autohaus in edinburgh were asking £400+ vat!

Anywhere in Central Scotland reasonably priced?

Thanks

£400 + VAT? I had to get the turbo on my Leon Cupra R changed a couple of years ago, the labour and additional stuff (oil, filters, feed and return lines for the turbo etc. etc.) came to a lot more than that, so that doesn't sound that bad to me. Fair bit of work involved, particularly on the 2.0T engines; the turbo is down the back of the block so not easy to get to, particularly with the integrated exhaust manifold.

i dont think that is a bad price either to be honest. a lot of anciliaries I would replace weith new as well rather than an apparently simple in and out job.
