Preferably in the north east. I have wanted one of these since I first clapped eyes on one, a few decades ago. Read a lot on these over the years, but like a few classics I have tried, I would like to know I fit! 6ft2, I know I can not drive a delorean...

Anyone will to let me sit in one, have a chat about ownership and running costs would be appreciated.

It probably doesn't help much, but I know there are at least 2 seen often in Aberdeen over the summer.

Always had a soft spot for these too although I think they will feel very retro to drive.

STOP IT!

I hear what your saying about retro too drive, i love the M3, it incredibly capable at almost anything. But its very... german. Clinical. I miss running old cars and their quirks. but then again i like being connected to the car, my old M535i felt like that too. However the 240z, I keep coming back to these. I am a child of that era and always fancied a car same age or older than me. pre-72 has its tax appeals.

There was a red one out in Kintore, but the chap has sold it on now. I chatted with him and can confirm i should fit, he is bigger than me.

cc8 if you know any of the other two i would love to have a PM please!

Really? The Classic Car Club used to have one and Matt managed it fine - he's was about 6'3.

Really! Delorean, 100% i don't fit, a good friend has one, i tried to get in it just a few weeks ago, if i tilt my head 60° to the left then yes i can drive it fine... 240z, it seems i will fit OK.

So thats one hurdle down, next is to speak to someone locally if i can.

knowing your car history did you drive it at an event? Partially interested in taking it for some weekend and track driving.

Is it yours or do you know the owner? Circumstances aren't right at the moment but i'd kill to have one of these as a toy. I might even get shot of the mo'bike for one.

I wish, just an image hunt on google.

The decently modified cars thread started out with a lot of very nice 240Zs and the likes. I'll go see what i can find later tonight.

unfortunately not mate, I did not have the please of driving it, just had a wee seat in it.

however, I would imagine it would be quite the enjoyable track machine matey, and, id love some pax laps when you get one ;-)
