Who makes them up my way, I know the place in Elgin but have heard of another around the Turriff area. Does anyone have any recommendations as to where to go and how long it would take to make and fit a pair of centre silencers for an RS4 from stainless

Turriff tyres do Powerflow, which are fine but nothing magic. They are also very operator dependant as to getting a good one, lifetime warranty though IIRC.

Wallace Performance in Aberdeen do exhausts now but not had any experiences with them aside from MOT's, Dyno days and basic work! Not heard much bad things though.

Else ask the gypsies that are at union square to go nick you some silencers smile

Cheers Rod,
It's a couple of custom made jobs to fit in to the existing exhaust I am after.
I will give them and Custom Craft a bell to see what they can do. Are Wallace fabricating them now or just fitting? Might even get a dyno run then if I am down there

Fabricating I think! Not 100% though.

Group dyno day? My cars had a few tweaks since the last one!

That's it booked in on my next trip back to the UK.

I would be up for a trip down to the dyno, it would be interesting to see what the actual figures are for the car

Nice one smile

Would be interesting, as owners dyno figures for the 4.2 RS engine are a bit all over the place iirc?

My Kitten had its exhaust system made at Custom Craft, in fact Nick uses it on the website to show what he can do - it's the red race car #83:

First class workmanship, took a little bit longer than we'd discussed but I'd rather wait for a proper job than have it rushed.

You are not the first person to say that, the time I have is very limited to have it done and can't afford to wait ages on arrival.
Good reports about the guys work apart from the time it takes

Personally, I would not visit CustomCraft again. Prices varied between a phone call at 5pm and turning up the next day at the shop, and he managed to split my silencer whilst attempting to bend it to fit a joint he'd eyeballed.

Turriff tyres get my vote for construction. Had two systems made there for older quattros in the past, powerflow isnt the best but they are well fabricated.

If you can be arsed with the drive. Star Performance in Fife.

And if can eally be arsed MRC in the shire.

Aye it's Turriff tyres I have gone with, I am not after anything elaborate. Just break in to the current straight through system minus valves and tame it down a notch or two
