Eating out in Inverness
Discussion
Hi guys,
Does anyone have any suggestions of where is nice to eat in Inverness? I'll be staying there for four nights next week and I've only visited once or twice before. It's for work so I'm on a budget of £15 all in. I'm staying on the east side of the river (Huntly Street). Pubs or restaurants and most types of food considered, but I'm rather partial to burgers or Italian food
Thanks for any help
Kay.

You staying in the Premier Inn? I've been in there quite a lot recently. Had a few nice Indians from the Rajah, which is less than 5 minutes from you. The restaurant inside the Premier is decent enough too, but i didn't enjoy their breakfasts.
I was recomended the Waterfront by several locals, but had a terrible dinner there.

Rajah is good for Indian, you have 'The Kitchen' just round the corner from you which is good, the pre-theatre menu should be just about in budget, directly opposite on the other side of the river is 'The Mustard Seed' but it can be pricey.
For Italian food try Riva which is near you on Ness Walk
For steaks try "The corner Grill' or 'The Beefeater'

We have had a few take aways from there and all have been good, never eaten in the place though.
The Mustard Seed is very good too.
We have also had a couple of really good meals in Number 27 on Castle street, the chef in there actually had my first Evo after me

Thanks everyone. I tried the Castle Street restaurant and no.27 Castle Street and they were both very good. I also went to the Waterfront as it's the closest place but it wasn't the best, although the place is nice and the beer was good. Then I found Wetherspoons. I'm back in Inverness next week so will carry on exploring. I'm not used to staying in places with so many options
