Has anyone else noticed that in Scotland we appear to get the basic stripped down Poppy? According to my TV all BBC England wear a Poppy with a nice wee Green leaf included. I seem to remember that this used to be the norm here too until a few years ago.
There's something inherently wrong in watching BBC news and seeing the English presenters wearing the full Mcoy, and then when it switches to BBC Scotland we're being denied the wee bit of leaf.
I'm not a Nationalist at all, though, mind you, having to accept a cheap alternative for what ought to be way above nationalistic argument is just so wrong.
I thought that the Poppy fund was organised by a Scottish based charity originally, so how come this discrimination?

It used to be within the remit of the British Legion if I remember. Why is it now a separate entity?

I would actually prefer all the poppies on TV to be different as it would maybe indicate that the wearers bought it themselves because they felt it to be a good cause and wore it with pride.
Instead I have the image of the BBC and ITV employing a poppy fixer who has a big box of poppies and who places them symmetrically on every presenter. Same on Sky football.
