Hey dude! I used Harestone about 7 years ago and they did a good job. You are probably after a more recent recommendation though.

If getting block driveway, might as well buy some of these as well

my dad has a block driveway and every year without fail I spend a weekend with the power washer and these tools clearing the moss etc from the blocks.

That's why I just went for chuckie stones on mine, with thick membrane underneath. Better for security and there is something homely about driving along the stones smile

Of course, its all dependent on how much greenery you have in the vicinity!

Yeah I was just reading about the maintenance required! That looks like a handy tool. My drive is pretty steep and I have chuckies on there just now, getting the old mustang out is damn near impossible, I had the indignity of getting towed out by a Rangie the other day eek

Is there not companies who seal lock block, saving you a pig of a job?

ASW did our driveway. OK, it's tarmac, but they did a great job.

WE used a product called CoreGravel which a local landscape company installed and we are very pleased. It keeps the gravel where it should be and is firm enough to jack up the cars and place them on stands. It needs the same prep as locbloc & tarmac but is much quicker to finish and apart from a light rake over it is pretty much maintenance free. If it pleases Mrs JT then it must be good.

I think it can be anywhere between £65-80 per square metre for lock block, I believe it is less for tarmac etc.

Deeside Road Construction would get my vote.
