Hi All,

Looking to upgrade the Hard Drive in my laptop.

Can anyone recommend somewhere decent and reliable?

Thanks,

Simon

There is a good one in bruntsfield right opposite the links.

I cannot remember their name but have been there for years.

That's Ideal Computing. Good staff, and a reasonable range of budget components.

This is very easy to do yourself. Buy an SSD drive from Crucial Memory and buy their USB kit and software which allows you to copy the entire contents of your drive onto the new one, by connecting the new drive by USB (with supplied cable). Once it's all copied over, open laptop unplug existing drive, plug new one in and close it up again. So easy my mum could do it :-)

I am glad you replied to be fair. So, I'll fire round to yours, hand you the laptop (whilst I make you a cup of tea) then I'll take the 458 out for a "spin"...

Thoughts?

hehe

As per text, Silicon on Dalry Road put my latest desktop together with minimal fuss.
If you are going prodding 458s Simon I'm your new PA who has to come everywhere with you...
