Scrapping a car, but want to take some bits off
Discussion
Got a car that needs to be scrapped, but I want to get the wheels, suspension arms, and some other bits of running gear off it that it can't roll without.
Anyone know how scrappies work in this regard? Could I trailer the car to a scrappy, remove the wheels and bits I want and then just leave the car basically on bricks? Am based in Glasgow btw.
Cheers

I had problems with this when i scrapped my old scoob. It was just a shell and none of the scrappy's i phoned were interested. I eventually found a boy with a hiab who came out and took it to Daltons for me. The price i got for the shell paid the hiab hire and left me £30.
Johnny.
Years ago I scrapped a Golf GTI mk2, I called the scrapyard and we agreed a price and collection date over the phone. Johnny.
They didn't ask if it was a whole car....so they were more than a little disappointed when they collected this...
