Evening,

A few of us will be heading in Edinburgh City centre on Monday in a few tasty cars. Can anyone recommend a decent secure car park that will accommodate some wide super cars?

Cheers

Emmm, I went with the m3 into Edinburgh the other month. Stay away from the tram works.

http://edinburgh.cdmf.info/public/map/map.htm is a good place to find the roadworks and parking.

Castle terrace is the place I use as its under the shadow of the castle and princess street is about 5mins away.

Last time I was at Fountain Park in Edinburgh, there was a black Lamborghini Gallardo in the underground car park. If that got down there, anything can.

Car park at Sheraton Hotel, turn left at start of Western Approach Road at bottom of Lothian Road. Park on second level (spaces are nicely grouped so no one will park next to you). Best supercar car park in town.

The car park under the OMNI is big enough for your needs.

DO NOT even consider the ncp at the st james centre.

Try the car park at the Radison on royal mile. Access is best via the grass market. The car park is a bit tight to get in but is the most secure and has the best access to the centre. I use it all the time when in court in Edinburgh as it is so central and never too busy.

The St James's NCP has the smallest spaces i've ever encountered!

I'd concur with Castle Terrace.

Personally wouldn't leave a supercar in Omni car park.

+1 on both assertions there. Omni is excellent, St James Centre has vicious ramp breaks and bays that were sized for Austin A35s

Why? It seems no worse than any of the other underground multi storey car parks that have been suggested.

I've left my 355 in the Omni car park a few times usually for the entire day. Also leave my other cars there every week day for the past 7 years or so without incident.

Just be careful with the ramps in anything low but they are passable.

Me too. I've been using the Omni car park for more than 10 years without incident. There are CCTV cameras dotted around the place, presumably linked to the car park office. Since Omni took over from NCP a few months ago, the office is manned more of the time and the staff much more helpful. Park at the back (far right) of Level -3 (same level you enter) and you're well away from passing traffic. There's a roped-off area that is used by the Balmoral Hotel and I usually park near there if I'm driving something too low for the ramps to the other floors.

Looking at posts maybe I'm mistaken. Remember kids hanging around last time I used and a couple of incidents in news (a murder and string of break ins) but this was a few years back.
