A good day, weather held off had a bit of very light rain in the afternoon.
Usualy good standard of driving but a heck of a lot of red flags, quite a few mechanicals and grass hunting. I must raise a hand as one caused by me demonstrating the line into clarks to my passenger on stone cold tyres... did the drive of shame back to the pits. Sorry to all.

Quite a few of track specials, orange escort was rather nice, went rather well too until the clouds starting coming out of it. But saw it back out, assumed it popped a water hose. Rather a lot of GTRs, and more lotus 7/kit variants than i have seen in a long time. A silver hovercraft, i think it was a radical.

Some repair work going on at the hairpin so the usual apex line had to be taken a bit wider, a lot of folk came off there. I was behind Graeme when the integra went off at duffis, quite spectacular!

Heaps of traffic in the last half hour, felt like everyone was on track at once!

I had a data logger yesterday and managed a 62.7s, quite happy. I saw Graeme logged a rather impressive 54s with a passenger...

Was my first time at Knockhill and what a good day it was! istoo, was that you in the silver m3 that went off? I was the guy with the camera you asked if I caught the action, sadly too busy watching at that moment to lift up the camera!

I'll be sorting through my pictures today and tomorrow but will post in good time.

Nice picture Jaktehlad, you've really got your panning technique nailed.

Did you get any flame shots? I missed them every time!

Does anyone know who the guy at the hairpin with the camera on the end of a rig was? Bet he got some cracking pictures. Would love to see if he got any of my car (Z4M) going pretty sideways.

Yes, I was discussing lines with my passenger on our warm up lap, specifically speaking about carlube and midway through the apex i was thinking mmm bit fast on cold tyres as the rear passed the front. Though i had it at one point... Problem for the day was getting back onto the track, the infield was so sodden there was zero change of driving out. Thus the red flag, i only needed a tow to the edge of the track. Also the hairpin was getting some work done so the cones around the apex put you off your desired line, quite a few fo the light cars were coming off there. So nearly every spin needed a tow back to track. However I did get good look at all the new drainage the circuit are building, its like a moat of gravel! Should make things better for the future smile

I saw the rig thing as well easty, looked expensive and cool. But i did see a drone thing from the pit wall at one point, AK did post a picture from it on the Trackscotland website.

The rig was being used to gather video footage only, not pictures. The drone was being used for both pictures and HD video, a couple of pictures can be seen on www.facebook.com/aerialaberdeen

The camera/filming rig was not mine but I believe the video footage will be edited together and put on the Clark Motorsport facebook page in due course www.facebook.com/clarkmotorsport

i was driving when i saw it but was that a steadicam setup? woudl be interested to see how that looks coming though there, would be very nice to get a panning shot from the apex... but that would need a lot of knockhill participation.

great day and the weather was shockingly good! managed just over 60 laps which isn't bad including me staying out for 22 laps and getting my best time right on death whilst chequered flag was being waved. Shows that car is fine getting pushed for that time which is nice

Excellent day for me! First time on track with the s2000 and really enjoyed despite some handling issues!

The orange escorts (there were 2, very similar) belong to a friend and his father. The one that went bang never got back on track and has suspected head gasket failure frown it was running around 57 second laps before it went up in smoke with more to come! Can't wait to see him get a clear day to see what the car can really do!

The above photos are brilliant, if anyone has any others I would appreciate if you could share them! Always nice having a few desktop pics to choose from biggrin

H3ppy was that you? I saw S200 and thought it might have been! I was stood taking photos all day (currently sorting through them so should be up before next weekend) have a couple of the Honda.

Will post a selection in here when they are done. My friend was quite taken with the orange fords, what are they running? One got a bit sideways at the rear of the circuit but my picture came out blurred frown

Ah! I was also rather taken with the escorts. Love classics been driven properly. Given i was on WOT down the straight and the orange escort passed me easily, i suspect that isnt standard under the bonnet. Lovely car, hope the smoke/steam isnt expensive...

That was me, cold tyres caught me out also. I'm glad it looked spectacular, because it certainty felt it!

No physical damage done, other than a few stone chips though, so it was still a good day for me.

Yea the s2000 is mine, any pictures would be great and i can send on any pictures of the escorts as well!

Both of the escorts are running cosworth yb egines, so yea, not quite standard! They are bloody quick cars, they have successfully scared the sh*t out of me a few times biggrin
