Hotel in Edinburgh with Carpark suitable for sports cars??

I'm looking for recommendations of hotels with secure and splitter friendly parking in Edinburgh.

Starter for 10 though .... Holiday Inn Express in Leith?

i found an awesome one last night that is right on the royal mile and has private parking...

but it's £215 a night
back to the drawing board


Parking seems to be the biggest problem in the centre of Edinburgh. Looking for a hotel within 10 mins walking distance of either Princes street or the Royal Mile

Dunstane has safe off road parking and you can always drool over some of Derek's stock at the same time.
Kenny Dunn's just along the road too. Might even be tempted!

I don't know if they're within budget, but the Sheraton and the Caledonian are both in the west end, and have flat ground parking.

No, Bankhead Drive, Sighthill.

Lat time I was in the Sheraton car park there were speedbumps.

Quite a few hotels near the Omni Centre and it has a decent enough car park.

The Glasshouse is nice and across the road there is a Holiday Inn.

Also at the top of the hill there is the Apex Waterloo which is nice enough too.

Superb food but does not have secure parking.

Perfect one would be the Dakota just near the Forth Road Bridge, big wide easy to access car park and lovely inside.

Oops, drove past the Roseburn garage last night on my way in from the airport. Not Murray's, still Jap C##p though!

Anywhere in the pubic triangle is worth a look surely...

I stayed in the Holiday inn next to the Zoo, undercover parking space and no issues getting the Sag in/out. Also just 5 minutes in a taxi to Princess street, (also the right side of town for me to make a quick dash to Knockhill on the Sunday morning.

The Caley if you can get a bargain, have used it a couple of times at new year. You don't have to be a guest to use it though, and I've used it in preference to the nearby NCP.

Other options I have used myself have been the Bruntsfield Hotel, which is an easy walk to Princes St, or the Malmaison in Leith (a bus ride).

Most hotels near the bridges (Scotsman, etc.) will send you to the station car park, which is OK but some spaces can be a bit tight.

This Travelodge has a 25 space car park hidden around the back. The hotel isn't brilliant, but its had a referb recently and the location is very central. So its very difficult to beat on the VFM.
The car park isn't technically secure, but its out of the way and I've seen a Fezza 430 parked there a couple of times and I've not had any issues when I've parked my C63 there.

Given the grounds, the lack of secure parking really shouldn't be an issue.

The problems will rather be,
a) price
b) location, reasonably close to city centre, but one would certainly look for a cab ride home. Also extremly hard to find if you don't know where to go.

Besides that, the place is simply fantastic!



What about the Best Western, Bruntsfield Hotel?

As far as I remember they have secure parking just outside the main entrance, not many though, so better check availability in advanced. Location is not bang in the centre, but certainly within walking distance to the old town, and you have the Meadows right outside your window.
