Granite City Rally 2014

Just wondered if anyone is going and/or knows anything about where you can spectate tomorrow. From the FB page I gather only SS1 will have spectator access and will be off the slug road, but I can't find any more specific info or times. I sometimes wonder if they want people to come and watch. Any info much appreciated.

There's only one spectator stage this year. I'm not going, waste of time to go all that way for one stage.

Well in the end I almost didn't go but decided at the last minute I wanted to go for a drive anyway (having just got my Impreza back from having its AST adjustable suspension fitted) so headed out Deeside way. Ended up behind one of the rally cars so followed it to a place where I managed to park before walking into SS1 (though I missed first 20 or so cars).

Next I thought I'd go to Banchory for a look at service and found one of the drivers I've met a few times through work who filled me in on the SS3 and 4 routes so I decided to head over and see what I could see (no excuse really needed to drive over the Cairn o Mount!). Found a place to park near SS4 start and walked into the stage where I found a great vantage point for some pics. Was all very impromptu but worked out well. Can post pics if anyone wants to see.

Did you get any pics of car 107, yellow 205? Or did you not hang around long enough for me to come by? ha ha!

I think I may have pics of it from SS1 but I haven't downloaded them from the camera yet. Hopefully get them done this eve and I can let you know. Someone you know?

I was coming back from paintballing on Saturday and spotted a few cars kicking about on our way back. Was passenger in my friend's fiesta but there was a Yellow 205 heading north from Stonehaven into Aberdeen (Would that be the above poster?)

And also another 205, grey, about 100m infront! Then dozens of Evos, escorts etc etc

A decent day for us, not quite the pace we expected but was the drivers first time in wet conditions after being very lucky at every event we've done so far.

Cracking stages the 2 long ones were great fun and real challenges.
Any pics of car 88 white evo 6 would be appreciated. Steve

Ah, ok, I will have a look at what I have. I saw through to the last car on SS1 but didn't photograph them all. If I have anything I'll let you know. I've heaps of pics from last years event if you were in that one?

I have at least one half decent shot of the EVO. I'll try and get it to you soon, but took my PC to bits last night to fit my new CPU cooler so didn't get much time to look properly at pics.

On the Pug front I think I missed it - I have pics of cars before and after on SS1 but I think it came through when I was moving from one vantage point to another unfortunately. I may have a shot from SS4 but I haven't got that far yet. Will keep you posted.

I don't suppose anyone here got photos of car 0 - Rothmans Escort?

Was co-driving in it, but had a stomach bug so spent a lot of the day spewing.

Thanks Interesting viewpoint. Not quick as I was struggling to hold on to my stomach contents!
