4 x 4 Off Road Experience

Morning Guys,

Looking for some advice on the best place to arrive and drive a 4 x 4 off road. Its for my Girlfriend who fancies a shot of some off road driving. Have found a place called Perthshire Off Road Driving Centre which has a decent website and is reasonably priced. Looking for something Mid May and not to much further than Perthshire as based in Ayrshire.

Any recommendations from previous experiences would be appreciated.

I've used Perthshire Off Road twice now. Last time was September last year. Really enjoyed it each time. Experienced instructors and well organised. Mixture of Quads, defenders\discoveries (all old), atv, reverse steer land rover, off road buggy. All great fun. Could believe how sore I was the day after! Must be getting old.

Land Rover Experience in Dunkeld? Earn yourself lots of extra points (and some extras no doubt) by staying at the Hilton next door too if you are feeling flush...

I have done the LR Experience in Dunkeld twice now, first time i was invited down when considering buying the RRS, second time with a friend. Both occasions were great, really enjoyed it...the staff are very good also, tailor to wether you are considering buying a particular vehicle or just there for fun. I ended up buying my father in law a voucher for it too for a xmas gift, he had a blast.

The nearest place to you is Drumclog, but it's a big site and you would need to go with another vehicle. If your car is a road car that you want to venture off road with then there is a few places that Drumclog would be fine for. Go the wrong bit and you will be stuck for a very long time and possibly damage your car. I haven't been for about 3 years as we sold all our offroaders when my wife fell pregnant. I have just recently got another one though.

Booked up for Perthshire off Road driving so I will let you all know how we get on. Drumclog isn't far like you say Kmm, a few mates race quads and crossers up there and been a few times to watch. Don't think the focus or noble would cope with the mud though so looking for an arrive and drive (someone elses jeep) type day.

Don't take the noble with you as the track leading to the carpark at Perthshire Off Road is pretty rough.
