Dirty rotten scumbags.

I would maybe speak to a detailer to see if they can manage to polish it out first. Looks unlikely given the depth but maybe worth a try first.

Thanks doubt it will but maybe worth a try.

Actually had been in touch with him regarding doing a new car detail.

Sickening. People who do this should be shot, in the face.

I've been told if you can feel the scratch with your nail it won't polish out.

If there us still some paint I would be tempted to wait a few weeks.

I had an issue about 12 years ago. Passed my test at 17 and my pride and joy was a 309 GTI. Someone thought they would key one side of the car right along one side. About 2 weeks later the car had been sprayed and I got the car back on the Friday. By the Sunday the car had been done again.

A local lad had been after the car for ages so I let him know he could have it. I got it fixed and he took the car away that day.

Changed cars and I was nervous for a long time but touch wood that has never happened again.

Dealers taking it back in and repainting the tailgate at a decent price can't stand it looking like it does.

I think I would have left it for a while so it doesn't become a game for the prick.

Probably right, hopefully a one off and it being fixed will stop me walking around seething.

Sickening bud, I live in East Lothian aswell and although I live in a nice bit, I'm constantly worrying about my M5in my drive. Funnily enough, the only time anything has happened to the car (just the drivers mirror pushed up) was at my partners house, still East Lothian and posher than where I live..

Glad you're getting it sorted though !!

Can you put up a camera to monitor the drive? That way if the person thinks it's a game, you can catch the wee ste!

Get a Foscam and position inside a house window. Wifi to your IT kit. Software available to record all movements in the camera's view on your IT stuff. (movement sensing software only records actual movements)
