Mx5 mk3 big end

Hi my MX5 was just serviced and passed its MOT 2 weeks ago and yet last night the big end went, lots of oil in engine etc. its a 2006 2.0sport with just over 100000 on clock not sure if its worth swapping engine or just selling as is? wouldnt know where to start getting it fixed or the price involved. Any ideas what to do guys?

Gutted to hear, these are very sensitive to being run without max oil. Hopefully you get it sorted

Hi got your email but deleted by mistake, not sure how much its worth tbh . been told i can drop a 1.8 engine in it to get it going but not sure if this is true as 2.0 engines are on the pricey side

decided too much work to fix it any idea best place to sell it guys?

Scrappys or breakers yard. Or sell it privetly as spares or repair.

Yeah was thinking that sherman just gutted that iyt passed MOT the week before and been serviced new break pads etc
