What Should Be Scotland's National Anthem?

Despite having no official national anthem there has been much debate over the years as to what could be considered Scotland's national song. A national anthem generally makes you think of the history, traditions and even the struggles of the country's people.

There are also likely to be calls for a song to be selected if Scots vote Yes in September's independence referendum.

Personally, I like Caledonia but a number of alternatives have been suggested:

I reckon I'd settle for almost anything but Flower of Scotland or God Save the Queen.

They are both terrible dirges, harping back to the past instead of looking forward, and one of them is actually quite insulting to the nation.

If pushed, I'd suggest Scotland the Brave or Caledonia.

Most definitely not Caledonia - horrid twee "scottish" music, almost as grating as Loch Lomond by Runrig, or anything by them for that matter.
