I'm wanting some garden work doing in Falkirk area. The garden is on two levels right now and I'm hoping to lower most of the upper level to give a larger single area with pretty much a raised border round two sides. I'm guessing I'll need to do something structural on the raised borders to support and was thinking decorative gabions.

Can anyone recommend a good landscaper in the area? Or would a good builder be equally up to the job?

I have a friend who recently setup in this field. Used to be a green keeper at Muirfield for over 10 years.

His business is called Rakes Landscaping Ltd and he has a page on FB with example pictures etc.

Oh and his name is Ben.

Similar to above, but possibly one-ups Muirfield with construction and greenkeeping at Kingsbarns and Castle Stuart, plus a stint at Royal Melbourne.

Let me know if you want his number.

Derek Taylor very good. He used to go to my gym about 20 odd years ago and was originally fencing from memory. Has done quite a bit of work in my street, but you always see him in and around Falkirk.

Thanks for the contacts guys. I'll try Derek Taylor, seen his van around and had thought of him. My main concern is the fact I'm altering load supporting walls, one of which has my neighbours house 10ft over the other side. That's why I wondered if a builder would be more qualified. I'll call Derek and see what he says.
