Seconded, he did my rv8 Land Rover. Old school guy!Ricky will do a job for you without any doubt.
Another approach would be to replace the carb completely. American carbs aren't the most sophisticated things in the world and for the price of a few hours of specialist fettling you could buy a complete new unit with all the benefits that would bring. I have a friend who considers it be a service item and replaces it every three years.
I'd suggest replacing the Edelbrock with a Holley (proven record, huge range, tons on online info etc).

Good thinking and the weber is fine for small stuff but a flow rate of 500cfm would choke a 350ci American V8.
I'd go for a Holley 750 with vacuum secondaries for street use on a Z28 but please do your own research OP (there's lots on online info on carb sizing and it'll work well straight out of the box)

Nice one, cheers for all the advice Gents. Appreciated.
I cleaned and rebuilt the carb so it runs and drives fine, just wanted a professional to look it over and bring it up to par.
A new carb is on the (growing) list but right now I'm just enjoying/learning the car before I pull it pieces
