Hi can anyone tell me the car salesroom on Great Northern Road on the north side of the haudagain roundabout in Aberdeen that was there in the 1990s. Was it an Arnold Clarks?

The FIAT garage? Was Arnold Clark definitely in the last few years of its existence up to circa 2005 I think.

Adrian Smith Saab used to be next to the roundabout. In the 70's Checkpoint were there. I think they were part of the Furneaux family.

There was definitely a Lancia dealer there at some point, might have been Gillanders or perhaps Glen Henderson?

I do remember the bike service place there but I recall it being roughly where Majestic Wine is now so that's actually Auchmill Road as opposed to GNR which the OP refers to.

Adrian Smith Saab was where the car hire place is now, Callanders Fiat was opposite,
Lancia dealer was Glen Henderson in Whitehall not Great Northern road, Checkpoint was never there, but I think there was a garage called Chequered Flag.

Your right it was Chequered Flag and it was owned by a Furneaux. I think he was the elder brother of the one who had the bike business.
I lost my Triumph Trident when the bike business which had moved to Dyce "caught" fire. Their insurance company never paid out.

I thought it was a Bonneville.

Replied in the other thread, but it was Reg Vardy for Fiat / Alfa around 98. I've still got some invoices from them in the file.

Can't remember the name but there used to be a TVR garage on the opposite side from the Fiat garage, think it may have been the Chequered Flag that someone else mentioned?

That *is* actually GNR, only know that because I have pizza hut on my bookmarks...

Auchmill road doesn't start until manor drive (I think)
