Brake disc skimming..
Discussion
I got discs skimmed (plus new pads) a couple of years back to cure a vibration on braking. It made no difference and I still needed new discs and another set of new pads. Of course, maybe I got a bad place doing it or maybe something was fundamentally gubbed with the discs.
Next time I'll just go for new discs.

I've never been a fan of this and I am a little sceptical however as the discs are brand new 330mm split numbers..new ones will be a last resort.Next time I'll just go for new discs.
