Due to a miscommunication I'm needing to arrange a carpet supplier and fitter to fit carpets and some lino in Aberdeen. I'm looking for cheap carpets as we've got two young kids and we'll replace the carpets in a few years. The lino will be replaced when we extend in a couple of years too.

Anyone recommend someone competent to do this on a short time scale?

I used Dee Carpets the year before last.

They had a huge range of prices and types all in their shop on Hilton Drive.

It was all a bit cheaper than I'd expected and involved less fuss than I'd reckoned for too.

I think choosing the carpet to having it fitted was less than a week.

The two blokes who came round to fit the carpet were fine and got the job done in no time.

I "think" they needed the old carpet lifted by us first but I could be wrong. I'm sure that's up for negotiation.

I did the measuring and signed something to agree that if I'd got it wrong it was my fault.

It's a pokey wee shabby looking shop but it's where I'll be going next time I need a carpet.

CVC on Gt Northern Rd are owned by the same folk but a bit cheaper for some unknown reason. Felt backed could be an option if a temp measure (& not fit underlay) £10 odds a sq m iirc.

As already mentioned, Dee Carpets are pretty good and well worth a look.
If i still lived in the city I'd go back and use them again if needed.
