Hi folks, I currently have an Abarth 595 and would like to explore options for either positioning the existing seat lower or replacing the seat with a more suitable aftermarket version.

Does anyone know of any companies that offer a sales and workshop service in Scotland?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not confident enough to do it myself Ian and in all honesty, I've read a few threads which have detailed spending countless hours trying to make seats fit. Ideally, I'd like to visit a supplier/workshop to discuss, look at options and see what's possible.

I did look at their website but I don't think they deal with sports seats. Thanks for the suggestion though.

By the seats you want, then take to your local garage and they will fit them for you.

That was my point, I don't know what seats I want because essentially, I don't know what will fit and what will offer the lowest seating position which is why I would like to find somewhere that can offer advice, supply and fit. It may well be the case that I will need to look to England.

This is a very simple/basic spannering job (that is unless the seat has sensors for the airbag system etc) so you may not find a "specialist" for just this as I imagine it isn't a great business. Any competent garage should be able to help you out in removing the current seats and either seeing if they can fabricate a new lower mount or simply measure the mounting points for new seats/mounts.

As for the seats - any number of bucket seats will see you sitting lower - if you've got the money a nice pair of carbon tillets never look bad.

Thanks for this. Can you recommend any such garages? My local bodyshop is Kenny Laird - extremely talented but not something he would do unfortunately. I believe Bride Low Max seats are a good option but obviously I don't want to order something only to find that they don't fit.
