We had a letter from the Council in the Christmas post this morning bearing the joyful tidings that the Council in Glasgow is moving to vary the bus lane operation times from the crazy mix up of various assorted jumble of times to a universal Monday to Sunday 7am to 7pm in what looks like, from the huge list of streets it names, to every lane in the City.
Damm!!! I really enjoyed having what seemed like my own private running lane during the day, when all the numpties who don`t read the signs drive permanently in the r/h lane as if the bus lane was in operation. I am going to really miss cruising past lines of cars slavishly queuing up leaving the l/h lane all to me.
What a rubbish present from the council! But watch out for this changing and don`t get caught out.

Strange they're doing the opposite of Edinburgh - who have changed almost all of theirs to peak times only after a year long trial.

Assuming it's this TRO - https://www.glasgow.gov.uk/CHttpHandler.ashx?id=36... - it looks like there's still a mix of 7-7 and peak hour lanes. Also, shock horror, 2 bus lanes are being removed!!!
