Nah - Though about it, but too early to be getting out and about when councils remain hell-bent on throwing as much salt around as they can when there is not a snifter of frost or snow.
Same here, seemed daft to me when they announced a March date. The nice cars shall remain tucked up until mid-April at the earliestOrkney Islands Coulcil still flinging salt down onto dry roads today. Wind in the southwest, and rain forecast. Sounds about right for them.....
Might get the Jailbreak out of hibernation this month yet for a bit of Lanoguarding, but not going to be hitting the road till next month sometime.

A trick they must have picked up from Orkney Islands Council....
Planning to break the Hellcat out of hibernation tomorrow since is meant to be a nice day. Be a good one for getting it up on the Quickjacks for the annual "Smell like a sheep" day (Lanoguarding....). Then back in again and we'll re-assess the situation on the 1st of April when it will probably get taxed.

So far, I've heard mixed reviews. Negatives seems to be relating to high entry ticket cost and "opportunistic" pricing of food and drink being sold inside the venue, with a ban on taking in things like your own bottled water.
From my own personal view, having stayed away as either spectator or entrant, its just too early in the year to be taking the car out unless you have the luxury of a covered transporter. Apart from previous notes on road salting above, Orkney Islands Council were again out this morning throwing it about at the rate of 20 grams/m2

I was asked to put a car in there (couldn't manage), and it had to be dropped off the day before. Bit of a faff sorting lifts etc.
And from the photos, it looks like the public could get right up close to the cars, with the unfortunate potential for damage. If it stays as it is I won't be displaying anything in the future
