Please post the best prices and location you've seen for petrol and diesel, show a picture if you can, with all thats going on just now every penny saved the better.

Also please post where you have seen the greedy places who are trying to take advantage of the current situation.

I'll start off with a greedy one, BP garage in Cowdenbeath.

Petrol - £139.9

Diesel - £169.9

I'm reasonably local so on that note, the local Asda is still £1.47 for diesel and has been around that figure for months. I'm not sure who owns what, ie how many garages like the BP in Cowdenbeath, are franchised thus who sets the prices... ie, is it a character who smells a bit extra cash or is it BP etc?

And whilst yes, I'm all for some individuals who run a forecourt making money... much like support your local corner shop rather than go to Tesco etc etc, but when the price difference is that dramatic that you know it's borderline profiteering... then if people stopped using them...

There's a tiny fuel station on the road from Perth to Crieff, it was still around £1.47 on Saturday and my local, unmanned site is also £1.47... so if they haven't whacked the prices up yet, not have the supermarkets... what's the story in Cowdenbeath?

But people will pay it as we've become conditioned to the fact everything is ridiculous post COVID, it now just feels like any excuse and the prices rise and we meekly shrug our shoulders and pay. I think we need to start saying "No" again soon.

The Cowdenbeath BP garage is now.

Petrol - £141.9

Diesel - £173.9

With those prices the only thing they will be seeing is tumbleweed blowing through the forecourt it certainly won't be cars.

Last night Shell in Perth (beside Tesco on the Edinburgh Road) was 160.9 for diesel whereas BP at Freuchie was 151.9.
The BP is often cheaper than Tesco in Cupar.

Hardly robbers.. maybe just on a different fuel deal vs supermarkets with bigger buying powers?

A lot of sites are on daily pricing (today's oil price reflects tomorrows tanker) vs some sites which are on
weekly pricing (mondays oil price reflects till sunday)
and some supermarkets get monthly pricing (1st reflects till end of month)... in which case they can afford to sell the fuel pre fuel spike

The Shell in Haddington are behaving like a motorway service station (it isn t). I just wish people would stop using them but every time I pass it looks busy. It s 8p a litre more for unleaded than the Spar/Gulf one in Pencaitland.

Unleaded 147.9p
Super Unleaded 166.9p
Diesel 171.9p
Premium Diesel 190.9p

That's a bit cheeky - about 10p less for all of these in Edinburgh.

I used to drive past this one every day going to work, they were always a good bit more expensive than the Tesco along the road from them.

So I thought I'd check on their prices...WOW..!!!

It’s funny you should mention that because I said exactly the same thing to my wife (we live between Haddington and Bolton). I think that fact it’s next to a retail park, people wrongly assume it’s cheap. I have an old VW Caddy that I rarely fill up, but decided to last week so checked out the prices and the cheapest was a service station in Port Seton that I used to use a lot when I lived in Aberlady so filled up there in passing.

147 for Tesco 99 in Irvine this morning.

No diesel. Panic buying during the week, or some other issue causing diesel shortage?
