Good Property Solicitor Required in Aberdeen - suggestions?
Discussion
Hi all,
I'm looking to buy my first home soon in Aberdeen and I'll obviosuly need to use a property solicitor for all of the legal paperwork etc. Can anyone recommend some good solicitors who they have personally used in the past?
A friend has recommended Anderson & Bain - I'm just wondering if there is anyone else I should consider?
Thanks in advance.

Hi all, apologies for the thread resurrection but it would appear that John has decided to pack up his pencil case up and retire. With that being the case, does anybody have any current recommendations for property and general solicitor activities in Aberdeen or the Shire??
Car chat is optional but welcome

Whne I bought my place a few years back, the seller used AC Morrison. Nothing to suggest they were anything other than diligent, but my solicitor was having to nudge them quite a bit to respond to him. I used Blackadders to sell and buy at the time - no issues, but I do know one of their partners so I was farily sure I'd get decent service. We aren't meant to name and shame here but other family members and I have had very poor experience from one firm which uses its initials with ea (estate agency) tagged on. Issues including the person who compiled the sales brochure just using the first picture of each room, not the best, writing a description which literally did not make sense, drawing a very innaccurate floorplan and providing advice which was extremely mediocre. Service when my mum sold her house was so poor I called for a meeting with the estate agency manager who did little to restore confidence, though I believe they have since moved on.
