Until Karl has the Al ashtrays available (hopefully by BBWF), does anyone know for sure what solvent to use to reattach part of the surround trim (the part that retains the sliding top)?

I can check it out by using various solvents underneath, but hopefully one of you know what to use.

Thx Jamie. It's a plastic to plastic repair (in a fast 3>4 gear change my elbow snapped off the rear part of the black clip-on surround to the ashtray - that the sliding top slides in) - Streaky
