Hi anyone know what car donated the rubber gearshift gaitor cover ( under the leather one) on a 400 as mine has rather large holes in which makes it a tad noisy. Went to Ford with it and they think may be from a Sieara, but do not reconise the numbers G74285 ( Rover ?) and don't have enough time to scour the yards for one.
It's a common apprehension .. TVR's are expensive .. so the parts must be .. what's the donor car .. I've lost count of the times I've gone to a TVRdealer for a little trim piece and they just say .. ah.. done worry about it .. .. friebie .. what ?
Oh .. OK..
Sometimes your best friend .. others .. a pinch of salt and just an idea of t=where to go to get the best price for the part you really want !

When mine perished I was told it was off a Ford Transit.. Peninsula replaced it but had trouble in getting hold of one.. suggest you try Ford again. BTW I bumped into the previous owner of your car the other day - seemed sad the carpets had deteriorated, sure he would love to see it again if you are ever in the Wycombe area. Think he's missing it
