has anyone tried modding their wedge and doing away with the pop up headlights and replace with faired in units ,thin ones as fitted to the mk2 mitsi gto, just an idea just wondered if it has been done as the popups look a bit odd.
often thought about it, burt never actually done it.
also thought of the lotus esprit rwin round style, and the BMW 840 style twin square
Peter Wheeler did this with his factory car (the White Elephant) back in the late 80's. It was also adopted by Steve Heath for the 520 racer and the multi-lamp setup was being investigated by someone on here recently. It involved reducing the height that the pods lift to. The Esprit pods are wider; although they use the same motor they take two 5.75" sealed-beam lamp units.
