double dilemma
Discussion
Dilemma 1 : The time has come where I have to admit defeat and put the wedge up for sale. 1 kid, 1 house purchase, and 1 holiday (just back from) where I realise I need a family estate car (doh!). Ok, no advice needed here (or comments like keep it, I want to but cannot afford to)
Dilemma 2 : What to sell it as? There has been some discussion round my wedge before (see tvrwedgepages owners 350i/390se).
I phoned the TVR registrar when I bought the car who told me it was a 350i, although it is badged and was sold to me as a 390SE. Should i sell it as a 390SE 'replica' (it does have a rear spoiler, vented front disks and a silver box of tricks behind the glove box). Are there any more telltale signs that I should be able to distinguish between a 350 and a very early 390? On checking the bible, the serial numbers list the serial no of the first 390SE as the serial number directly after mine.
Streaky - I noted with interest your 390SE prototype purchase, and I noticed your serial number was after the first 390SE mentioned in the bible. Could this list be inaccurate?
I have not advertised the car yet, and I do not want to mislead anyone as to the true identity of it, so I an looking for advice from the Wedge collective ......
