You need the body off to replace the outriggers and it'll cost you £xxxxx...tell them no way. Just had mine done with a bit of help and advice from wedgie. Cost me all in £250 for both sides. If I knew how to weld, it would have been even cheaper.....

Just goes to show what you can do with a bit of enterprise. Now for that respray and retrim............

I'd agree with that, congrats on getting them fixed Bit time consuming but not too painful. Trouble is you don't save any money, you just acquire toys instead, or is that just me. I justified the purchase of an air compressor+tools and MIG from the money I saved by DIY'ing mine

Sorry Mike, meant to take loads of photos but I didn't either. Besides, you've already got an article on it, where I got my inspiration from

Hmm. Wish I had the drive for it. But the garage I use managed to replace the corner front drivers side without lifting the body on the 400. Bit of imaginative fixing to the square section under the side skirt.

I got the inspiration from Wedgie's feature on your website Mike. Well done for posting such an informative piece. IMO I would add some more step by step shots to compliment such an informative piece.

I am going to take some shots of the new bits for the car's history file though.
