What a fabulous day.
An extra-special thanks to Karen & Neil for their hard work in co-ordinating the day.
Thanks to Father Ted and Rev-erend for their prayers to the weather gods ... that were answered.
The polo shirt is a great memento of the day. I had to be physically restrained from wearing mine to bed last night!
Meeting Chris Shirle and hearing his stories (of mine and other Wedges) was great. Chris agreed to investigate a source of Wedge data at the factory when he's up there next month. I asked him to get Richard Sails (TVRCC Wedge Archivist) into the loop, and hopefully we will get some information about chassis numbers and perhaps even some build data.
But the biggest thanks must go to everyone who turned up. Fantastic to put faces to names ... now you're not a "dog on the Internet" any longer.
Now I just hope the bl00dy pictures come out! See the (Photographs @ BBWF thread also.

PS - commiserations to those who suffered misfortunes getting there, whilst there, and (if any) while returning. May they turn out to be minor/cheap/easy-to-fix. I'm sure there are stories there that will get posted here.
PPS - I enjoyed myself so much, I broke my own rule about booting it when cold
.
PPPS - to the "White Wedgers" ... you gave a bride the best day she'll ever have. I'm sure the pleasures of marital bed that night were as nothing when compared to those she experienced just lying across the bonnet of a Big Bad Wedge.

It was indeed a great weekend - I bought a couple of my non-wedge friends along and by the end they were discussing the relative advantages of the various cars like pros.
An I even managed to sneak my wedgie into the white wedgie wedding shot too - just saw a load of other white wedges on the move, and thought "what the heck!" Good job the bride didn't sit on my car bonnet thought - she'd have been picking dead bugs off her dress for the rest of the day.
Anyway, a great weekend, and hopefully we can do it again next year.

A major big thanks to all for the BBWF, I concur and 2nd the comments by streaky

. What a co-incidence that there were so many wedges together. My family were entralled by all the wedges (and doughnuts
) and having only seen mine (in pieces) they now can't wait for me to finish (start!!??) the restoration. Roll on next year, maybe it will happen again!!

Yep, top day out, only spoiled for me by my normally ultra-reliable car developing a worse drinking habit than Graham Walden on an open day at the Wychwood Brewery...
95 miles on a TANK of petrol was seriously NOT funny... and I have to get back to Teesside yet!
Nice to put beer-bellies to usernames... apologies to those I didn't see before Julie and I left, it was nice to meet a few more fellow nutters
Cheers to Mike 'Wedgepages' Bressington for the T-shirt; the only slight 'drawback' was that people kept coming up to me and saying "Mike!! About your website..."
And a big
to Mark Adams for his efforts in trying to fix the 390...
But mostly 'Ta very much' to Neil and Karen for organising the event. Roll on 'BBWF '05, when it will STILL be 25 years since the TVR Wedge appeared...

Yep thanks guys it was great to see so many wedges in one place.
I had hoped to turn up with a win to celebrate but the wedge chassis breaking put paid to that. It was a long drag from Kidder to Lydden to BBWF to Milton Keynes ( drop the taz of for its chassis work ) then back to kidder.. but im glad i made the effort to get to BBWF
Especially as Stainless kept me up drinking till 5am and the 'Oh God its Daylight and we havent been to bed yet" moment.
See you next year, hopefully with a sorted chassis and a few body repairs

It was great meeting you all, just didn't get a chance to really speak to everyone.
