Some day my prints will come ...

But, I'm truely sorry to say that I'm very disappointed with the "645" photographs.
There were two major problems. (1) despite the "leg-up" on the back of the pick-up truck, there was still insufficient height (perhaps I should have climbed the tree) to get a good "looking-down" shot, and (2) the Wedges were so well polished and the sun was in just the wrong position (or to put it another way, I set the cars up the wrong way round), that the bonnets reflected too much light and affected the exposure meter reading (centre-weighted and I compensated, but not enough) and washed out a lot of colour.
I adjusted a couple of exposures and have played around digitally (and no, that's not something that causes hair to grow on the palms of your hands
) with the brightness, contrast and gamma settings, and of the MF photos I took, this is the "best".
The 35mils won't be back until tomorrow. I hope to see more success with those.
Hangs head in shame.

Is there any chance of seeing anything other than SEACs I do believe there was about 7 there and about 90 other cars and so far there have only been SEACs, bit of a rant but perhaps the meet should have been called The BBSF.. Sorry to moan but i feel i have to say it.

What would you like to see? Try MikeB's at Wedgepages. Try Mr and Mrs H's site. Try The TVRCC site. Try PistonHeads site. There are loads about and am sure if you ask for something specific people will post them up for you. Plus there was a lot of camcorders there.
PS Were you there?

I wanted to meet you .. dam..
Sorry - it was a bit of a SEAC photo shot - but next year will be different ...
It was such a success (the photo shoot) and great fun - I'm sure we will all have lots of idea's for Streaky for the event next year.
Glad you enjoyed the run out - my big regret being at the front is that you see nothing .. I would have loved to see everyone leaving and starting up at the same time .. My turn to go last next year !

In defence of Streaky, I did approach him at the 'Fest late in the afternoon and asked what had happened to the intended 'group' shots of other models. He pointed out that since there was no timetable, people kept nipping out and in, off to the bar etc. and then the driveout intervened, so there never seemed to be a good time, nor was it possible to track down the drivers of, say, all the 390s.
So he had the best intentions, but not the best implementation
The SEAC photo was primarily intended to be a re-creation of one that appeared a few years ago in the Car Club mag IIRC...

I absolutely meant nothing against Mr Streaky he has my upmost respect for even taking the photos and being one of the nicest most helpfull on PH. I just wanted to see a photo of someting other than SEACs, I spent ages polishing my car to make it look good for the photos as did alot of other people and i just got the general feeling that it was a SEAC do rather than a wedge do, Genuinly sorry if i caused offence to streaky no malice in this at all

David, I know exactly how you feel and this is nothing against Streaky or the SEAC owners but it easy to feel second or third best. I too grabbed many precious hours to polish for the photo's and felt a little deflated that mine hadn't been included in a group picture.
In hindsight we shouldn't have left it all to Streaky, it was too much for one person, and we could easily have organised ourselves with a little effort into model shots. Look how spontaneous and easy the White Wedge Wedding shots were set up for example.
We'll learn for next year!
PS Streaky, don't feel bad about the photo's, the lighting was difficult and you needed more height that just wasn't available. Can anyone bring a crane next year

David,
Sorry - if you thought it was a SEAC do .. it was not at all.
We had a focus on SEAC's for the photo's but we had so much fun doing it - I'm really sure next year will be all models except the SEAC's..
My fav photo's were the Seac's plus everyone (100+) behind .. it was a great feeling ..
It's a forum - everyone has a say .. and yes - lets do someting different (photowise) next year.

I was there and it was a great day....Especially the start up and drive out, I have looked at all the sites mentioned and they seem to be the same pictures. You sound very defensive do you own a SEAC
Aye, I am the proud owner of an SEAC but I feel just as proud toward my 350i. Don't mean to be defensive but that photo means a hell of a lot me.
Didn't realise you were there so was justtrying to point you towards other photos.
I must admit that i felt a tad guilty that other group photos didnt happen but hey ho roll on next BBWF.
As regards Power and Passion i think the Wedge emphasis is soley for the 390 model!
Might i suggest that next BBWF we have volunteers to be appointed to individual photo topics?
Lets us not forget that this was the 1st BBWF and of course ideas were bounced around, some worked, some didn't. It's all about learning and improving for next year, and the next and the next!
I say well done to Streaky for taking on the task of recording the weekends events. I'm sure that in the years to come it will get better and better.
Overall i thought it went very well
