Numpties - Selling pains!
Discussion
Well many of you said not to sell my beloved SEAC - your probably right.
It's up for sale with the suggested tweaks to the ad BUT the numpties who call!!
Latest one is "loves the car and wants it but it's outside his budget"
I let him know the price and the deal and he still came and looked it over and took 3 hours of my time and a ride in the car only to let me know the above
Perhaps I need to think again but I could now do with the garage space as I've bought some Quad bikes!
Interesting comments from those who've been in the car say how taught and direct the chassis feels and how lively the engine is - even compared to 2 interested parties who have had Griff 500's!! - Nice to hear.

Buy another garage Tas and keep the SEAC!
Unfortunately with a car like that for sale you will always get test pilots trying their luck. Its a good price for a great car, just wants the right person to see the advert.

Garry , great to chat earlier, this email lark is ok but it does kill the art of conversation. Dont be disheartened by the lunatic fringe, your real buyer will turn up soon, who knows Jim will buy it and as far as wedgets 280 is concerned it is beyond me that people will buy an Austin Cambridge convertible (MGB) for silly money but wont buy a real car sTeVeR

Cheers mate, always nice to have one wedger comment on your wedge, we are talking cars aren't we.
: As Steve say's the right person is out there, stick with it.(Still don't agree with you selling it though) Martin
Gazboy,
Rule of thunb for me is 'don't let them drive' - as a private individual or even for those as a small specialist dealer letting others drive could be a PIA. When the cars are sub £1k such as my old Supra that's different but at >£10k it becomes a pain to get settlements if they exit stage left. Plus it's seriously scarey when some numpty who's never driven a sporty motor tries to be Tony Pond. Deal I do is take them for a drive if they want the car then once the deal is done, and cash is in hand I give them a receipt which states sold as seen and the time and if they bring it back without a scratch within 20 minutes they can have a refund.
