Just been offered full asking for my car by a guy that ownes a restraunt down the road, But i have a fellow PHer comming down from Manchester with some cash in his hand and i have prommised i will do a deal for his trouble. So i stand to loose a couple of hundred quid. But two things, The restraunteer is on about ripping out the engine and putting some big American V8 lump in it,Its a classic for gods sake and cos he is local i will see my pride and joy being ragged silly by someone else everyday At least if Manchester Man takes it tomorrow i will never see it again, Imagine the senario...Siting outside in your favorate pub by the canal after turning up in a Citroen that no one noticed, Then all of a sudden everyone turns round and you hear murmers of coo look at that TVR isnt it nice id love to have one of those what a lucky man. I turn around and there is my car with a cool dude drivin in wearin shades. It would make me sick.. Bit like seeing your ex with another bloke. The Pher has owned two wedges before so i know it would be going to a good home.

My advice - just sell it to the first person who come up wth the cash !

Plain and simple - make it clear !

No one should be too fussy on principles when selling a car .. it a nice thought but can really piss you off when people mess you about.

And so what if a buyer decides to put a 8.8 litre blown , nitro'd hemi into in..

TVR's were made to go fast .. and faster when older !

I'm quite happy to see my ex's with other men. I'm less impressed if I find out they've been seeing other men AND me.... anyway, good riddance.

I AM MANCHESTER MAN!!!

And yes I did buy wegets 280i.
Rest assured it has a very good home.

I've just spent the day drawing up a 32 point "things to do list"

This doesn't mean it's a bad car - quite the contrary (I wouldn't have bought it otherwise) but I always aim for an extremely high standard.

Where abouts are you Sevens? I'm just outside of Rochdale and am very curious about your Cossie engined beast.

Bob, congratulations looks like a great car.
I live about 2 miles from the Trafford Centre, I guess about 15 miles from Rochdale. Car if off the road at the moment to get a few minor teething problems sorted out. I'll be at the Cheshire meet on Tuesday if you fancy a run out, but not in the TVR, it's going to be a couple more weeks before it's back on the road.

I'm afraid mine's not going to be ready for action just yet.
I'll have to get over to the Cheshire TVR meet some time though - after all I have owned TVR's for eight years and haven't been there yet.
I look forward to seeing your beastie when it's ready.

Thanks for that. Unfortunately, Bucks Fizz were wrong, the camera does lie. Well it covers up the blemishes quite nicely anyway .
