Well after breaking down at Oxford Services on the way to the BBWF, my mechanic has finally had a chance to look at the Tasmin after clearing his backlog of work and the news isn't good
As well as needing the rear calipers to be either repaired or replaced, there is a small leak from the petrol tank that needs to be sorted and the possibility of the chassis needing to be replaced

Why does this keep happening to me? Last year I had to have the engine replaced and now this has happend

Unfortunately as much as I would love a new one Jon, I cannot afford one. The Tasmin is a lovely classic car, unfotunately age (24 years old) is creeping up on her and she seems to keep wanting big jobs done to her when the summers here... ![]()

I meant new to you, rather than brand new.
One of those things I suppose. The more you've spent on it, the more reluctant you are to let it go!
Nice looking motor too!
Calipers are no big deal. What is wrong with the chassis? Which petrol tank is leaking? The N/S one can be taken out of the car without lifting the body. The o/s one is not quite so easy. I would have thought you could pick up a second hand one or have a stainless one made for a couple of hundered pounds.
