Hmm, sounds interesting - pray tell us more !

Multiple carbs (as sometimes fitted to 'Essex'), or single from cooking Granada ?

apparently downdraughts are hard to get hold of, so were going for a modified standard 2.8 carb inlet manifold and a 32 dgas with bigger chokes... apparently that together with head work and cam will get 250 bhp out of a 2.8

anyone want 2 complete injection units ? or they're going in the bin

Hi stranger - thought you must have fled the country,
from your lack of posts since our 'pint'.

Anyway, to stay on topic:
I wonder if you can just bolt a 24v head onto the 2.8 block. ( then turbocharge it ? )

I replaced the FI system on my 280i here in the states and used an Offenhauser manifold and a Holley carb. I'm not sure if that would work on Euro. spec engines. Let me know if you need details. The car has never run better since I did the conversion about a year and a half ago.

Glad to hear you junked the FI.

All of our 'export spec' cars must seem deadly slow, compared with the stay at home variety, unencumbered by all that emissions stuff.

Nope, still here! Been in Leeds most of this week, back down there tomorrow and Monday by the look of things. Bloody projects... bloody customers...

Might catch up with you this weekend...

OK Ian.

BLOODY WEATHER!

Wedge in for new clutch on Weds. (Motortech).

He said there was another TVR in this week - don't know the owner (?).
