is there a small voltage regulator that controls the oil pressure gauge and the temp gauge on the 350i , as mine both move quite a bit when the lights are switched on at speed or at standstill, temp goes up and oil pressure drops when lights or anything electric is switched on .

Earth connections.
And providing an extra earth cable directly to the negative side of the battery seems to help. Not that I have bothered (yet?) myself to test that.
