New battery, plenty of juice, ready to go..zilch. Turns over, spark but no smell of the go-go stuff. Sounds like pump is working but only when hot wired from battery, still no good. Took off petrol to engine thingy pipe - mega squirt, hence petrol up to injectors, no ticking. Can't tell which relay is injection. Probably something simple, grey cell not engaged as it is weekend. Please guys any ideas. Am going crazy not being able to go out.
Can't find my wedge bible right now but this thread may offer some ideas.

Hope you trace it easily.

I take it it's a V8 then
There's a red relay that protects the EFI from reversed polarity. Also a relay (usually next to it) that controls the fuel pump. There are (usually) no fuses involved.
If you'bve had the pump running then the fuel rail will stay at pressure for some time afterwards, so watch it if you disconnect any pipes, you may get an eyeful.
A couple of things to try:
Check the resistor pack connector is plugged in firmly.
Switch on ignition.
Disconnect the air hose from the outlet side of teh airflow meter. Move the flap in the AFM; the pump should start.
Ignition on, open the throttle quickly (use the linkage, not the pedal). You should hear all the injectors tick once. You can repeat in case you're not sure - the ECU thinks you've just floored it and adds extra fuel.
If the above are negative, there's probably no power to the ECU.
Either of the relays might be suspect, or the big black plug has fallen out (partly) from the ECU latch.
Failing that, I can tell you which pins of the connector to check for voltage.
After that it's off with the covers...
